Hello! My name is Samuel Powers, but you can call me Sam.
I was born on February 8, 1996, and I am 23-years-old. I live in Columbiana, Ohio where I attended Crestiview High School. During my last two years of high school, I took part in the Seniors to Sophomores program where I attended college courses at Kent State University’s Salem branch in addition to my high school classes.
After my high school graduation, I transferred to Youngstown State University where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physics. As for where I am now, I work with ISLE inc. at Golden String Radio where I host a radio show about the discoveries scientists have made in outer space. I hope you choose to tune into my show and learn about the cosmos.
Q. With a name like Sam Powers, if you were a superhero what would your super powers be?

Q. Of the many rock stars to choose from, who are some of your heroes in the world of Physics/Science
A. I’d say my heroes are my college professors Crescimanno, Priour, and Oder from Youngstown State University. I had many physics courses with them and they were always encouraging!

Q. Were you involved in or a member of any extracurricular activities in high school?
A. I was in the Math Club and Computer Club. Although, to be honest all we ever did in Computer Club was play video games.
Q. How often do you think about pizza?
A. Not as often as you’d think. Usually only when the mood strikes me.
